Refractory osteomyelitis

Refractory osteomyelitis is a persistent bone infection that does not fully resolve with standard treatment alone. It may follow trauma, surgery, diabetic wounds, or poor healing and can be difficult to clear because infected bone has limited blood supply. Ongoing pain, swelling, discharge, or repeated flare-ups may occur if the condition remains active.
